Margaret found a recipe and construction schematic to make this gingerbread train. So, over the Christmas holiday weekend, that's what we did! The batter was mixed and left to refrigerate overnight. Then we cut out all the pieces and baked them. Finally, the children "glued" them together with royal frosting, and then decorated each one with M&Ms, peppermints, candy canes and twizzlers.

We also made Mr. and Mrs. Gingerbread. You may have noticed Little Boy Gingerbread on the caboose, returning from Grandma's house! Also, we made some houses from graham crackers to complete the village.
