Photos at Colorado State Capitol Building in Denver. Note that there are three of the steps that have all been designated as being exactly a Mile High, elevationally. The original designation is etched in one of the stone steps. Over the years since the original measurement, two metal plaques have been added to designate steps that were believed to be closer to a literal Mile High. The most recent is being pointed out by Samuel, and is dated 2003.
